Lucetta Bizzi was born near  Parma, and studied at the Conservatoire in Parma. She has a typical Italian “bel canto” voice, and established herself in the light lyric coloratura and lyric repertoire, performing composers such as Bellini, Donizetti, Rossini, Verdi, Puccini, Mascagni, Giordano, Gounod, Bizet, Massenet and others.
She won the Spoleto singing competition, where she gave her debut. She won first prize in the “Voci Belliniane" competition in Como, and went on to win the role of “Musetta” from Boheme in the “Toti Dal Monte” competition in Treviso. She gained both Italian and international fame singing this role which she interpreted almost a hundred times in the greatest theatres around the world.
She has sung more than thirty operas in the most important theatres which include: Scala in Milan, Fenice in Venice, S. Carlo in Naples, Massimo in Palermo, Genoa, Florence, Trieste, Turin, Bari, and Bologna.
She has participated in seven productions in her native town at the Regio in Parma.
She has sung principal roles from Puccini operas at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago in Italy and then in Germany, Austria, France, Spain, South Africa, Japan, South Korea, Holland, Hungary, and China amongst others.
She has been conducted by: Riccardo Muti, Bruno Campanella, Zoltan Pesko, Bruno Bartoletti, Angelo Campori, and directed by Franco Zeffirelli, Mauro Bolognini, Roberto de Simone, Giancarlo Cobelli, Virginio Puecher, Samaritani, Damiani, Lino Capolicchio, Simona Marchini to name but a few.
She has held master classes and given recitals for three consecutive years in Japan, and has collaborated with the opera studio in Karlsruhe for the last two years, teaching technique and interpretation of Italian repertoire.
She teaches singing at the Parma Conservatoire "A. Boito" whilst maintaining an active concert calender.
From 2007 and in 2008 he has began a collaboration with “Showa University" of Tokyo and she hold a master about vocal technique for italian "belcanto".
In august 2008 she'll be in Austria at Wels-Saengerakademie for a master class for foreign students.
In 2008 she is vocal technique teacher in the singer academy for chinese students at Puccini festival in Torre del Lago.
She teaches singing at the Parma conservatoire "A. Boito" whilst maintaining an active concert calender.
